Gus finds love, and Shawn gets insanely jealous when Juliet goes undercover on an Internet dating site. Anthony Michael Hall appears as Harris Trout, a consultant hired by the mayor to increase efficiency at the SBPD in the season finale " No Trout About It".Īs Henry is struggling for his life in a Santa Barbara hospital, Shawn is determined to catch his father's shooter at all costs. Jeffrey Tambor made an appearance as Juliet's step-father Lloyd French in two episodes.
Max Gail returned to appear as Jerry Carp, the man who shot Henry. Parminder Nagra appeared as Rachael, Gus' new girlfriend. Kristy Swanson reprised her role as Marlowe Viccellio, Lassiter's lady-love and wife. Kurt Fuller returned in many episodes as Coroner Woodrow Strode. Sage Brocklebank made further appearances as Buzz McNab. Corbin Bernsen portrayed Henry Spencer, and Kirsten Nelson returned as SBPD Chief Karen Vick. Timothy Omundson and Maggie Lawson appeared as detectives Carlton Lassiter and Juliet O'Hara, respectively. Dulé Hill continued to portray Burton "Gus" Guster. James Roday Rodriguez continued in his tenure as the fake psychic detective Shawn Spencer. The season contained The Blair Witch Project, Clue, Sliding Doors and Chinatown tributes among others. The 100th episode, " 100 Clues" featured an animation change, as the title sequence was altered into a style similar to the credits of "Clue: The Movie." Homicidio" theme was used once more in: " No Country for Two Old Men". The song " I Know, You Know" performed by The Friendly Indians, was used once again as the show's theme song, though it was edited once for an episode, while the animation changed once. Steve Franks continued to act as show runner of the series.
